The name of the product is Sterile Water for Injection, and it does not contain an active ingredient.
Sterile Water for Injection is called a diluent. It is used to prepare and dilute medicines that require mixing with water before they are injected. It is also used for irrigation (washing by a stream of liquid).
The contraindications of the added product should be taken into account when using Sterile Water for Injection.
Take special care with Sterile Water for Injection
- Sterile Water for Injection should not be administered alone.
- It should not be used for intravenous injection unless the solution is adjusted to isotonicity with a suitable solute.
- When used as a diluent for hypertonic solutions, the solution should be brought close to isotonicity.
- Haemolysis (disintegration of red blood cells) may occur if large volumes of hypotonic solutions using Sterile Water for Injection as a diluent are given by intravenous infusion.
- When large volumes are given, the ionic balance should be monitored.
- Ensure that the container is undamaged and that the contents are clear and colorless.
- Solutions containing visible particles must not be used.
- No other medication and substance should be added to Sterile Water for Injection unless compatibility is known.
Taking other medicines
Always tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines because taking some medicines together can be harmful. Remember that the doctor at the hospital may not have been informed if you have recently begun a course of treatment for another illness.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before you use this product or take any other medicine.
Driving and using machines
Sterile Water for Injection is not expected to have any effect on the ability to drive and use machines.
Always use Sterile Water for Injection exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
When used to dilute or dissolve a drug, follow the instructions of the drug to be administered. The method of administration (whether by injection into a muscle, into a vein or under the skin or by another route) will vary depending on the drug to which Sterile Water for Injection has been added.
When used as an irrigant, the method of administration will depend on the irrigation procedure being used.
What to do in case of a missed dose
If you think that you have missed a dose or that you have been given too much of this product, contact your doctor.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Like all medicines, Sterile Water for Injection can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Intravenous injections of Sterile Water for Injection may cause disintegration of red blood cells (haemolysis) if given alone. Also, side effects due to the drug to which it has been added may occur. Please consult the drug patient information leaflet for details of possible side effects. If you notice any unusual symptoms during or after treatment, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Sterile Water for Injection is for single use only. Use the product immediately after opening.
Discard any unused contents.
This product should not be used after the expiry (EXP) date printed on the pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Sterile Water for Injection contains 100% v/v of water for injection, USP, that is sterilized and suitably packaged. It contains no antimicrobial agent or other added substance.

إن اسم هذا المنتج هو ماء معقم للحقن وهو لا يحتوي على مكون فعال.
يسمى الماء المعقم للحقن عاملاً مخففاً. يستخدم لتحضير وتخفيف الأدوية التي تتطلب المزج مع الماء قبل أن تحقن. كما يستخدم للإرواء (الغسل بجريان السوائل).
يجب أن تؤخذ بالاعتبار موانع استعمال المنتج المضاف عند استخدام الماء المعقم للحقن.
توخ الحذر مع الماء المعقم للحقن
- يجب ألا يعطى الماء المعقم للحقن بمفرده.
- يجب ألا يستخدم للحقن الوريدي ما لم يتم تعديل المحلول إلى تساوي التوتر بمادة ذائبة مناسبة.
- عندما يستخدم كعامل مخفف للمحاليل مفرطة التوتر، يجب أن يتم تعديل المحلول إلى مقربة من تساوي التوتر.
- قد يحدث انحلال الدم (تفتت كريات الدم الحمراء) إذا استخدمت أحجام كبيرة من المحاليل مفرطة التوتر التي يستخدم فيها الماء المعقم للحقن كعامل مخفف وأعطيت بالتسريب الوريدي.
- عندما تعطى أحجام كبيرة، يجب أن تتم مراقبة التوازن الأيوني.
- تأكد من أن العبوة سليمة وأن المحتويات صافية وعديمة اللون.
- يجب ألا تستخدم المحاليل المحتوية على جسيمات مرئية.
- يجب ألا تضاف أي أدوية أو مادة أخرى إلى الماء المعقم للحقن ما لم تعرف توافقيتهما.
تناول أدوية أخرى
أخبر طبيبك دوماُ إذا كنت تتناول أي أدوية أخرى لأن تناول بعض الأدوية معاً يمكن أن يكون ضاراً. تذكر أن الطبيب في المستشفى قد لا يتم إخباره بأنك قد بدأت مؤخراً بمقرر علاجي لمرض آخر.
الحمل والإرضاع
اطلبي نصيحة طبيبك أو الصيدلي قبل استخدام هذا المنتج أو تناول أي دواء آخر.
القيادة واستخدام الآلات
ليس من المتوقع أن يكون للماء المعقم للحقن أي تأثير على المقدرة على القيادة أو استخدام الآلات.
استخدم الماء المعقم للحقن دائماً كما أخبرك طبيبك بالضبط. يجب أن تراجع طبيبك أو الصيدلي إذا لم تكن متأكداً.
عندما يستخدم لتخفيف أو حل دواء، اتبع تعليمات الدواء الذي سيتم إعطاؤه. إن طريقة الإعطاء (سواء بالحقن في عضلة أو في وريد أو تحت الجلد أو بأي طريق آخر) سوف تختلف اعتماداً على الدواء الذي ستتم إضافة الماء المعقم للحقن له.
عندما يستخدم كسائل إرواء، فإن طريقة الإعطاء ستعتمد على إجراءات الإرواء المستخدمة.
ماذا تفعل في حالة نسيان جرعة
إذا كنت تظن أنك نسيت جرعة أو أنك أعطيت كثيراً من هذا المنتج، اتصل بطبيبك.
إذا كانت لديك أسئلة أخرى عن هذا المنتج، اسأل طبيك أو الصيدلي.
مثل كل الأدوية، يمكن أن يسبب الماء المعقم للحقن آثاراً جانبية، رغم أنها لا تحصل لدى الكل.
قد يسبب الحقن الوريدي للماء المعقم للحقن تفتت كريات الدم الحمراء (انحلال الدم) إذا أعطي بمفرده. أيضاً، قد تحدث الأعراض الجانبية للدواء المضاف. يرجى مراجعة النشرة الداخلية للمستحضر الصيدلاني للدواء لتفاصيل عن الأعراض الجانبية المحتملة. إذا لاحظت أية أعراض غير اعتيادية أثناء أو بعد المعالجة، أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي.
إذا أصبحت أي من الأعراض الجانبية خطيرة أو لاحظت أي أعراض جانبية غير مدرجة في هذه النشرة، فيرجى إبلاغ طبيبك أو الصيدلي.
يحفظ بعيداً عن متناول ومرأى الأطفال.
لا يخزن عند حرارة أعلى من 30°م.
الماء المعقم للحقن معد للاستعمال مرة واحدة فقط. استخدم المنتج مباشرة بعد فتحه. قم برمي أي مكونات غير مستخدمة.
يجب ألا يستخدم هذا المنتج بعد تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية (EXP) المطبوع على العبوة. يشير تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية إلى آخر يوم من الشهر المذكور.
يحتوي الماء المعقم للحقن على 100% ح/ح من الماء للحقن، د.أ.أ، الذي تم تعقيمه وتعبئته بشكل مناسب. لا يحتوي على أي عامل مضاد للمكروبات أو أية مادة مضافة أخرى.
الماء المعقم للحقن محلول صاف عديم اللون وعديم الرائحة معبأ في أمبولات زجاجية من النمط USP I.

For the reconstitution, dilution and making-up of appropriate drugs where Sterile Water for Injection is the diluent of choice, and for use as an irrigant.
Route of administration: For parenteral use as appropriate to the reconstituted drug.
Dosage: The dosage administered will be dictated by the nature of the additive used. The administration rate will be dependent upon the dose regimen of the prescribed drug.
Following suitable admixture of prescribed additives, the dosage is usually dependent upon age, weight and clinical condition of the patient as well as laboratory determinations.
Administration: The solution is for dilution and delivery of the therapeutic additives. The directions for use related to the added medicinal product will dictate the appropriate volumes as well as the administration route.
Sterile Water for Injection is hypotonic and should not be administered alone.
Do not use for intravenous injection unless adjusted to approximate isotonicity with a suitable solute.
When Sterile Water for Injection is used as a diluent for hypertonic solutions, appropriate dilution should be applied to bring the solution close to isotonicity.
Haemolysis may occur following infusion of large volumes of hypotonic solutions using Sterile Water for Injection as a diluent.

Haemolysis may occur following infusion of large volumes of hypotonic solutions using Sterile Water for Injection as diluent.
The signs and symptoms of overdose will also be related to the nature of the medicinal product being added. In the event of accidental overdose, the treatment should be discontinued and the patient should be observed for the appropriate signs and symptoms related to the medicinal product administered.
