DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate is the active
ingredient of Vital E 400™ , is a man-made
form of vitamin E. Although the exact role of
vitamin E has not yet been worked out, it is
known to play an important part in metabolismthe
chemical reactions that are taking place in
the body all the time.
Vital E 400™ is used in certain illnesses which
prevent the body from absorbing enough vitamin
E from the diet.
By taking extra vitamin E in the form of
Vital E 400™, the body gets all it needs. The
medical names for these illnesses are cystic
fibrosis (an inherited disorder affecting the
lungs, pancreas and other glands), chronic
cholestasis
(a disease of the liver) and abetalipoproteinaemia
(a rare inherited disease which causes a
deficiency of fat in the blood and severely
affects growth).
Do not take Vital E 400™
- If you are allergic to vitamin E or any of other
ingredients in the capsules.
- If you are allergic to soya, as this product
contains Soybean oil.
- If you have hereditary problems of fructose
intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or
sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency.
Take special care with Vital E 400™
- If you are taking an oral contraceptive pill.
- If you have ever had a thrombosis (a clot inside
a blood vessel).
Vitamin E has been reported to increase the risk
of thrombosis in patients predisposed to this
condition, including patients taking oestrogens.
This finding has not been confirmed but should
be borne in mind, in particular women taking
oral contraceptives containing oestrogens.
Precautions
This formulation is not adequate for children.
This category of patients will use pharmaceutical
forms and age-appropriate concentrations.
Vital E 400™ should not be administered
concomitantly with other drugs containing
vitamin E, unless the total dose of vitamin E
administered does not exceed the maximum
recommended dose due to the risk of
hypervitaminosis.
Taking or using other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are
taking or have recently taken any other
medicines, including the oral contraceptive pill
and any medicines obtained without a
prescription.
Pregnancy and breast feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before
taking any medicine if you are pregnant or think
you may be, or are planning to become pregnant,
or are breast-feeding. The effects of high doses
of vitamin E during pregnancy and breast
feeding are not known. Consequently, Vital E
400™ is not recommended during pregnancy
and breast feeding.
Driving and using machines
Vital E 400™ should not affect your ability to
drive or use machinery.
Important information about some of the
ingredients of Vital E 400™
This product contains Soybean oil, do not take
it if you are allergic to soya.
Take 1-2 softgel capsule daily with food or as
prescribed by your doctor.
If you take more Vital E 400™ than you
should
If you or anyone else accidentally swallows a
large amount of Vitamin E Capsules, do not
panic as it is unlikely to cause any serious
harm but may experience a stomach upset.
Obtain medical advice from your doctor or
pharmacist immediately.
If you forget to take Vital E 400™
Vital E 400™ should be taken every day but it
is not important to take it at any particular
time. There is no need to take extra the
following day if you forget to take a dose.
Like all medicines Vital E 400™ can
sometimes cause side effects, although not
everyone gets them and they are very unlikely
with this medicine.
It is possible that you might develop diarrhoea
or a stomach upset.
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
• Do not store above 30 ºC.
• Store in a cool and dry place.
• Do not freeze.
• Protect from light.
The active substance is: Vitamin E (dl- alphatocopheryl acetate) 400 mg.
The other ingredients are: Soybean oil, gelatin, glycerol and purified water.

™ ۳. كيف تستخدم فيتال ه ٤۰
۲. قبل أن تستخدم فيتال ه ٤۰۰
إذا ™ لا تتناول فيتال ه ٤۰۰
- كان لديك حساسية من فيتامين ه أو أي من المكونات
الأخرى في الكبسولات.
- كان لديك حساسية من فول الصويا، فهذا المنتج يحتوي على
زيت فول الصويا.
- إذا كان لديك مشاكل وراثية في تحمل الفركتوز، سوء
امتصاص الجلوكوز- الجالاكتوز أو نقص سكراز-إيزومالتاز.
™ أعطى عناية خاصة مع فيتال ه ٤۰۰
- إذا كنت تتناولي حبوب منع الحمل عن طريق الفم.
- إذا كان لديك في أي وقت مضى تخثر (تجلط داخل الأوعية
الدموية).
هناك تقارير عن فيتامين ه لزيادة خطر التخثر في المرضى
الذين لديهم استعداد لهذه الحالة، بما في ذلك المرضى الذين
يتناولون استروجين. لم يتم تأكيد هذه التقارير ولكن ينبغي أن
أخذها في الاعتبار، ولا سيما مع النساء اللواتي يتناولن حبوب
منع الحمل التي تحتوي على استروجين.

أخذ أو استخدام أدوية أخرى
يرجى إخبار الطبيب أو الصيدلي إذا كنت تأخذ أو أخذت
مؤخرا أي أدوية أخرى، بما في ذلك حبوب منع الحمل عن
طريق الفم أو أي أدوية تم الحصول عليها دون وصفة طبية.
الحمل و الرضاعة
إسألي طبيبك أو الصيدلي للحصول على المشورة قبل اخذ أي
دواء إذا كنت حاملا أو تعتقدين أنك حاملا، أو تخططين
للحمل، أو انك تقومين بالرضاعة الطبيعية. ليس معروف
تأثير الجرعات العالية من فيتامين ه أثناء الحمل والرضاعة
أثناء ™ الطبيعية. وبالتالي، لا ينصح بإستخدام فيتال ه ٤۰۰
الحمل والرضاعة الطبيعية.
القيادة واستخدام الآلات

۲ كبسولة يومياً مع الطعام. أو كما يوصي - قم بتناول ۱
طبيبك.
أكثر مما ينبغي ™ إذا تناولت فيتال ه ٤۰۰
إذا تناولت أنت أو أي شخص آخر بطريق الخطأ كمية كبيرة
من كبسولات فيتامين ه ، لا تقلق لأنه من غير المرجح أن
يسبب أي ضرر خطير ولكن قد تواجه اضطراب في المعدة.
أحصل على المشورة الطبية من الطبيب أو الصيدلي فوراً.
™ إذا نسيت تناول فيتال ه ٤۰۰
يومياً ولكن ليس من المهم تناوله ™ يجب تناول فيتال ه ٤۰۰
في نفس الوقت. ليس هناك حاجة لتناول جرعة اضافية في
اليوم التالي إذا كنت قد نسيت أن تتناول جرعة.
٤. الآثار الجانبية المحتملة
في بعض ™ مثل جميع الأدوية يمكن أن يسبب فيتال ه ٤۰۰
الأحيان آثار جانبية، على الرغم من أن لا تحدث مع الجميع و
من غير المرجح للغاية حدوثها مع هذا الدواء.
من الممكن أن تصاب بإسهال أو اضطراب في المعدة.
٥. كيف تقوم بتخزين فيتال ه ٤۰۰
- يحفظ بعيداً عن متناول و مرأى الأطفال.

Vitamin E Supplement

JP Vitamin E 400mg is used in certain illnesses which prevent the body from absorbing enough
vitamin E from the diet.
By taking extra vitamin E in the form of JP Vitamin E 400mg softgel capsule, the body gets all it needs.
The medical names for these illnesses are cystic fibrosis (an inherited disorder affecting the lungs,
pancreas and other glands), chronic cholestasis (a disease of the liver) and abetalipoproteinaemia (a rare
inherited disease which causes a deficiency of fat in the blood and severely affects growth).

Consult your doctor before taking if:
• If you are taking an oral contraceptive pill.

− Vitamin E has been reported to increase the risk of thrombosis in patients predisposed to this

borne in mind when selecting patients for treatment, in particular women taking oral contraceptives
containing oestrogens.
− A higher incidence of necrotising enterocolitis has been noted in lower weight premature infants
(less than 1.5kg) treated with vitamin E.
Vitamin E 400mg should not be administered concomitantly with other drugs containing
Vitamin E, unless the total dose of vitamin E administered does not exceed the maximum
recommended dose due to the risk of hypervitaminosis. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are
taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including the oral contraceptive pill and any
medicines obtained without a prescription.
Vitamin E may increase the risk of thrombosis in patients taking oestrogens.
Pregnancy Category C:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby,
ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Vitamin E 400 mg. The effects of high
doses of vitamin E during pregnancy and breast feeding are not known.
Consequently, JP Vitamin E 400mg is not recommended during pregnancy and breast feeding. You
should not take this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; unless your doctor decides it is
absolutely necessary.
Vitamin E 400 mg is not likely to affect you being able to drive or use any tools or machines

There are no special recommendations for overdose. General supportive measures should be
employed.

The exact role of vitamin E in the animal organism has not yet been established. Vitamin E is known
to exert an important physiological function as an antioxidant for fats, with a sparing action on
Vitamin A, carotenoids and on unsaturated fatty acids. Other work has demonstrated that Vitamin E
is connected with the maintenance of certain factors essential for the normal metabolic cycle.
Vitamin E is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Most of the vitamin appears in the lymph and is
then widely distributed to all tissues. Most of the dose is slowly excreted in the bile and the
remainder is eliminated in the urine as glucuronides of tocopheronic acid or other metabolites.
No harmful effects on humans are to be expected when used as recommended.
