Salinal contain simethicone “Antiflatulent defoaming agent” which breaks down the bubbles of gas in the stomach to help eliminate gas and ease wind.
Salinal chewable tablets relieve the symptoms of flatulence (wind), wind pains, a swollen stomach and other symptoms associated with intestinal gas.
Do not take Salinal:
§ If you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (see section no. 6)
Take special care with Salinal:
§ If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. This medicine contain dextrose.
Other medicines and Salinal
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines may be used together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. Tell your healthcare professional if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medicine.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Always take Salinal exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Instruction for use
§ Take this medicine after meals and at bedtime for best results.
§ It is important that you chew the tablets thoroughly before you swallow them. This is to allow the medicine to work faster and more completely.
Dosing
The dose of simethicone will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders. The following information includes only the average doses of simethicone.
If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.
The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. Also, the number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.
For symptoms of too much gas:
§ Adults and adolescents: Usual dose is 2 - 3 tablets three or four times a day, after meals and at bedtime as needed. The dose should not be more than 500 mg in twenty-four hours.
§ Children: Dose must be determined by the doctor.
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Salinal, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You may experience nausea, constipation or allergic reactions such as skin rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face or tongue or difficulty breathing.
If you do get any side effects, take too many tablets or your symptoms persist or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Store below 30°C, in a dry place, protected from light.
- Do not use Salinal after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and on the blister. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
- Do not use Salinal if you notice any visible sign of deterioration.
- Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
The active substance is Simethicone.
Each chewable tablet contains Simethicone 42 mg.
Other ingredients: Dextrates, aerosil 200, dextrose, magnesium stearate, mint dry flavour, and aniseed dry flavour.

تستخدم أقراص سالينال لتخفيف أعراض الإنتفاخ (الغازات)، الآلام المصاحبة للغازات، انتفاخ المعدة وغيرها من الأعراض الأخرى المرتبطة بالغازات المعوية.
يحب عليك عدم تناول سالينال:
§ إذا عانيت مسبقاً من تفاعلات غير اعتيادية أو تفاعلات تحسسية تجاه سيميثيكون أوتجاه أياً من المكونات الأخرى في هذا الدواء (انظر البند رقم 6)
تحذيرات خاصة قبل تناول سالينال
§ يرجى منك استشارة طبيبك المعالج قبل تناول هذا الدواء إذا كان قد أخبرك مسبقاً بأنك تعاني من مشكلة تتمثل في عدم المقدرة على تحمل بعض أنواع السكر. يحتوي هذا الدواء على دكستروز.
تناول الأدوية الأخرى بالتزامن مع سالينال
على الرغم من أنه لا ينبغي استخدام بعض الأدوية بصورة متزامنة على الإطلاق، في حالات أخرى من الممكن استخدام دوائين مختلفين معًا وذلك حتى في حال حدوث تفاعلات. في هذه الحالات، قد يرغب طبيبك المعالج في تغيير مقدار الجرعة أو قد يلزم اتخاذ إجراءات احتياطية أخرى. يرجى منك إخبار طبيبك المعالج إذا كنت تتناول أية أدوية أخرى التي تصرف بوصفة طبية أو دون وصفة طبية.
الحمل والرضاعة الطبيعية
يرجى منك استشارة طبيبك المعالج أو الصيدلي الذي تتعامل معه للحصول على المشورة الطبية قبل تناول هذا الدواء إذا كنت حاملاً، تعتقدين أنك حاملاً أو إذا كنت ترضعين طفلك رضاعة طبيعية.
يجب تناول سالينال دائماً بدقة وفقاً لإرشادات طبيبك المعالج . يرجى منك استشارة طبيبك المعالج أو الصيدلي الذي تتعامل معه ما لم تكن متأكداً من كيفية تناول هذا الدواء.
إرشادات الاستعمال
§ تناول هذا الدواء بعد الوجبات وعند النوم للحصول على النتائج المرجوة من العلاج.
§ يعد مضغ الأقراص جيداً قبل ابتلاعها أمراً هاماً، نظراً أن ذلك يجعل آلية عمل الدواء بصورة أسرع وبصورة تامة.
مقدار الجرعة
يختلف مقدار جرعة سيميثيكون من مريض لآخر. يرجى منك اتباع إرشادات طبيبك المعالج. المعلومات المذكورة أدناه تتضمن فقط متوسط جرعات السيميثيكون
يجب عليك عدم تغيير مقدار الجرعة الخاصة بك في حال كنت مختلفة عن مما مذكور في هذه النشرة، إلا في حال أخبرك طبيبك المعالج خلاف ذلك.
يعتمد مقدار الجرعة التي يجب تناولها على تركيز الدواء، عدد الجرعة اليومية، الفترة الزمنية بين الجرعات. وتعتمد مدة العلاج اللازمة على الحالة المرضية.
لتخفيف الأعراض المصاحبة لكثرة الغازات:
§ البالغون والمراهقون: يبلغ مقدار الجرعة الاعتيادية 2 – 3 أقـراص ثلاث إلى أربع مرات في اليوم بعد الوجبات وعند النوم، حسب الحاجة.
يجب عدم تجاوز مقدار الجرعة عن 500 ملغم في غضون أربع وعشرين ساعة.
§ الأطفال: يتم تحديد مقدار الجرعة من قبل الطبيب المعالج.
إذا سهوت عن تناول جرعة
في حال سهوت عن تناول إحدى الجرعات، فيجب عليك تناولها في أسرع وقت ممكن. على الرغم من ذلك، يجب عليك تخطي الجرعة التي سهوت عن تناولها في حال اقتراب موعد تناول الجرعة التالية والاستمرار في جدول الجرعات بصورة معتادة. يجب عليك عدم مضاعفة مقدار الجرعة.

شأنه شأن جميع الأدوية، قد يؤدي سالينال إلى حدوث تأثيرات جانبية، ولكن قد لا تحدث لكل شخص.
قد تعاني من اضطرابات في المعدة، إسهال، غثيان، إمساك أو تفاعلات تحسسية بالمثل الطفح الجلدي، حكة في الجلد، تورم الوجه أو اللسان أو صعوبة في التنفس.
في حال تعرضك لأية تأثيرات جانبية، أو تناولت على سبيل الخطأ الكثير من الأقراص أو في حال استمرت الأعراض أو ازدادت سوءاً، أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي الذي تتعامل معه.

يرجى منك إخبار طبيبك المعالج أو الصيدلي الذي تتعامل معه، في حال حدوث أياً من التأثيرات الجانبية بما في ذلك أية تأثيرات جانبية يحتمل حدوثها ولم يتم ذكرها في هذه النشرة. كما يمكنك الإبلاغ عن التأثيرات الجانبية مباشرة عن طريق:

- يحفظ بعيداً عن متناول ومرأى الأطفال.
- يحفظ في درجة حرارة أقل من 30°م، في مكان جاف وبعيداً عن الضوء.
- يجب عدم تناول سالينال بعد إنتهاء تاريخ الصلاحية المحدد على العبوة الخارجية والشريط. يشير تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية إلى آخر يوم في الشهر.
- يجب عدم تناول سالينال إذا لاحظت وجود علامات تلف واضحة.
- يجب عدم التخلص من الأدوية عبر المياه المبتذلة (مياه الصرف الصحي) أو النفايات المنزلية. اسأل الصيدلي الذي تتعامل معه عن كيفية التخلص من الأدوية التي لم تعد بحاجة إليها. ستساعد هذه الإجراءات على حماية البيئة
المادة الفعالة هي سيميثيكون.
يحتوي كل قرص على سيميثيكون 42 ملغم.
المواد الأخرى: دكسترات، إيروسيل 200، دكستروز، ستيرات المغنيسيوم، نكهة النعناع الجافة، نكهة اليانسون الجافة.
يتوفر سالينال في عبوات تحتوي كلاً منها على 30 قرصاً للمضغ أو100 قرص للمضغ.

Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine.

No cases of overdose have been reported. Theoretically, constipation may occur. Treat with fluids and keep under observation.

Simethicone is anti-flatulent defoaming agent which alters the elasticity of interfaces of mucous-embedded bubbles in the gastro-intestinal tract. The gas bubbles are thus broken or coalesced and in this form, the gas is more easily eliminated through belching or passing flatus.
Simethicone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not interfere with gastric secretion or absorption of nutrients. Following oral administration, it is excreted unchanged in the faeces.
