This medicinal product is intended for local symptomatic treatment and relief of pain in the following diseases of the middle ear without tympanic perforation:
- Acute inflammation of the middle ear of viral or bacterial origin, mainly in the initial stage
- inflammation of the ear drum
- Barotraumatic otitis .
Phenazone has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect and relieves ear pain.
Benzocaine enhances the analgesic effect (pain relief) of phenazone and as a local anesthetic.
The product is intended for adults, adolescents and children from 1 month of age.
Do not use Earcalm
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- if you have perforated or burst ear drum (tympanic perforation) (see Section: Warnings and precautions).
If the conditions mentioned in this paragraph occur only during the use of the product, tell your treating physician.
The product is not intended for newborns (up to 1 month of age).

Warnings and precautions
- If you have perforated ear drum membrane this medicine may cause side effects in the middle ear. Except ear pain, other common symptoms of perforated ear drum are: vertigo (spinning sensation); hearing change or loss, often with ringing, buzzing, or clicking; fluid or blood draining from the ear. In case of any doubts, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended to visit a doctor to check if your tympanic membrane (ear drum) is intact, before using this medicine.
- If in doubt, do not hesitate to seek the advice of your doctor or your pharmacist.
Other medicines and Earcalm
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
The effects of Earcalm and the effects of other concomitant medications may interfere with each other influence.
For Earcalm, interactions are not yet known.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
The doctor will decide whether to use the product in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Driving and using machines
Earcalm does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The usual dose is 4 drops 2 to 3 times a day in the ear canal of the patient.
Before use warm the ear drops to 37 °C (approximately body temperature). This warming can be done in the palms.
The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 drops / sore ear per day.
The recommended treatment time should not exceed 5 days.
If after the above treatment symptoms does not improve or it gets worse or if you experience side effects, Consult your doctor for further use.
Instructions for use
- Unscrew the bottle cap.
- Turn the bottle down and gently squeeze until a drop is formed.
- Press again until you obtain the required number of drops.
- Place back the cap after use.
Earcalm ear drops is a medicinal product intended for local use in the ear.
Do not get the ear drops in the nose or eyes!
Do not get the ear drops through the mouth!
If you use more Earcalm than you should
There are no reports of overdose cases, when Earcalm is properly used.
Consult your doctor.
If you forget to use Earcalm
Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Like all medicines, EARCALM can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In rare cases, there is a risk of local reactions such as allergy, irritation, or congestion the ear canal.
If you get any side effects, tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
- Store below 30°C.
- Keep in the original pack to protect from light.
- To be used within 28 days after first opening.
- Do not use Earcalm after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle and on the carton the bottle is packed in.
- Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.

each 1 ml contains Phenazone (BP) 50mg &Benzocaine (BP)10mg.

هذا الدواء مخصص لعلاج الأعراض الموضعية وتخفيف الألم في الأمراض الأتية للأذن الوسطى بدون ثقب في طبلة الأذن:
- التهاب حاد في الأذن الوسطى بسبب فيروسي أو بكتيري ، بشكل رئيسي في المرحلة الأولية
- التهاب طبلة الأذن
- التهاب الأذن الوسطى الضغطي
فينازون له تأثير واضح مضاد للالتهابات ويخفف من آلام الأذن

دائما استخدم قطرة الأذن إيركالم تماما كما قال لك طبيبك. يجب عليك مراجعة طبيبك أو الصيدلي إذا لم تكن متأكدا
الجرعة المعتادة هي 4 قطرات من 2 إلى 3 مرات في اليوم في قناة الأذن للمريض
قبل الاستخدام ، قم بتدفئة القطرة إلى درجة حرارة 37 درجة مئوية (درجة حرارة الجسم تقريبًا). يمكن القيام بهذا في راحة اليدين
يجب ألا تتجاوز الجرعة اليومية القصوى 12 نقطة / أذن مصابة يوميًا

يحتوي كل 1 مل من إيركالم على فينازون (دستور الأدوية البريطاني) 50 ملجم , بنزوكايين (دستور الأدوية البريطاني) 10 ملجم
المكونات الأخرى هي بروبيلين جليكول
قطرة الأذن إيركالم عبارة عن محلول صافي عديم اللون إلى أصفر خالي من الشوائب.

Local symptomatic treatment of middle ear pain with intact drum:

The product is intended for adults, adolescents and children from 1 month of age.
The preparation is applied to the external auditory canal. Before use, it is advisable to warm the solution to a temperature 37 °C. This warming can be done in the palms.
The recommended dosage is 4 drops into the outer ear canal 2 to 3 times a day.
Recommended time
treatment should not exceed 5 days.
The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 drops / sore ear per day.
Hepatic or renal impairment
There is no dose limitation for patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
How to use :
- Unscrew the bottle cap.
- Turn the bottle down and gently squeeze until a drop is formed.
- Press again until you obtain the required number of drops.
- Place back the white protective cap after use.
Before the beginning of treatment with the medicinal product, it is recommended to check if there is perforation of the tympanic membrane. If the tympanic membrane is perforated, intra-auricular administration may lead to contact of the product with middle ear structures and cause undesirable effects in these tissues.

No cases of overdose have been reported.
For oral use, phenazone is toxic in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 g.
Children and hypersensitivity
this dose is lower. Depending on the amount of oral dose,
GIT mucosal irritation, vomiting,
CNS irritation with the possibility of seizures, skin reactions.
There is no specific antidote.
In the case of oral administration of this product, treatment is symptomatic, which includes care for circulation, breathing and treatment of possible seizures.

Earcalm is a combined medicinal product that contains phenazone and lidocaine. Phenazone is a pyrazolone derivative with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic from the amide group.
Due to the external administration and application of the active substances at low doses, systemic absorption is impossible (in case of intact tympanic membrane), and for that reason no pharmacokinetic studies have been performed.

- Screw the dropper applicator on the place of the cap.
- Remove the protective cap from the dropper.
- Turn the bottle upside down and slightly press the dropper until a drop is formed.
- Press again until you obtain the required number of drops.
- Place back the white protective cap on the dropper after use.
