1. WHAT FUCIDIN® H CREAM IS
Fucidin® H cream combines the antibacterial action
of fusidic acid with the anti-inflammatory effect of
hydrocortisone
acetate.
2. WHAT IS FUCIDIN® H CREAM USED FOR
Fucidin® H cream is indicated for the treatment of
dermatitis, including atopic dermatitis and contact
dermatitis, where an infection with bacteria sensitive
to fusidic acid is suspected or confirmed.
Because of its hydrocortisone content, Fucidin® H
cream is particularly appropriate in cases where a
milder corticosteroid
is indicated, including milder
inflammatory dermatoses - on the face and on
children’s skin.

Dosage
Apply the cream two times daily for up to 2 weeks.

Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to fusidic acid/sodium
fusidate hydrocortisone acetate or any of the
excipients. Due to the presence of corticosteroid,
Fucidin® H is contraindicated in the following
conditions: Skin infections primarily caused by
bacteria, fungi or virus (such as herpes or varicella),
skin manifestations in relation to tuberculosis or
syphilis, perioral dermatitis and rosacea.
Precautions
Long-term continuous therapy should be avoided.
Caution should be exercised when the product is
used near the eye, since hydrocortisone acetate can
cause glaucoma if the preparation gets into the eye.
Interactions
Doping test: Athletes are not allowed to use
corticosteroids, except for locally used cream/
ointment/solution containing
steroids. If such a
cream/ointment/solution is used, the athlete is to
write a notification (Medical Certificate)
about this
before contest start.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Topical corticosteroids should not be used
extensively, in large amounts or for prolonged
periods in pregnant patients, as fetal abnormalities
have been seen in animals due to systemic
absorption.
It is not known whether topical corticosteroids are
excreted in breast milk, problems in humans have not
been documented. Topical corticosteroids should not
be applied to the breast prior to nursing.
You should only use the product after consultation
with your doctor.

3. HOW TO USE FUCIDIN® H CREAM
Fucidin® H cream is cosmetically acceptable for use
on the face and hands and convenient for use in the
groin area and armpits.
For external use.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Fucidin® H cream can cause
side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Important side effects to look out for: You must get
urgent medical help if you have any of the following
symptoms. You may be having an allergic reaction:
- You have difficulty breathing
- Your face or throat swell
- Your skin develops a severe rash
Other possible side effects:
Any of the problems listed below are more likely
if the medicine is used for a long time, in large
amounts or on skin folds (such as armpits or under
breasts). These problems are more likely in babies
and children. They are also more likely if the skin is
covered with a dressing, bandage or nappy. Skin
problems.
Uncommon side effects (probably affect less than
1 in 100 people)
- Skin irritation
- Burning and stinging feeling
- Itching
- Worsening of your eczema
If any of the side effects become serious or you
notice any side effect not listed in this leaflet, tell your
doctor or pharmacist.
Some side effects are known to be caused by
hydrocortisone (steroid), one of the ingredients in
Fucidin® H cream. You should tell your doctor if any
of the side effects occur:
- Thinning of the skin
- Small veins near the surface of the skin become visible
- Stretch marks
- Inflammation or swelling of the hair root (folliculitis)
- Changes in the growth of your body hair
- Red spotty rash around the mouth or chin
- Adrenal glands may stop working properly. Signs
are tiredness, depression and anxiety.

5. HOW TO STORE FUCIDIN® H CREAM
Shelf life: 3 years.
Storage conditions: Do not store above 25°C.
