Ketoconazole, a synthetic imidazole dioxolane derivative, has a potent antimycotic activity against dermatophytes such as trichophyton sp., epidermophyton floccosum and microsporum sp. and against yeast such as candida sp. and malassiza spp (pityrosporum spp.)
Like all medications, avoral shampoo should not be used for personas who have sensitivity to any of its components
- for external use only.
- avoid contact with eyes. if contact occur, rinse the eyes throughly with water.
- no caution for using avoral shampoo in the pregnancy and lactation cases where it is not absorbed in the skin through topical application.
For topical administration
- wet hair throughly,
- apply a small amount of avoral shampoo to your scalp and massage into a lather.
- leave the lather on your scalp for 3-5 minutes
- rinse throughly
wash the hair every 3 or 4 days for 2 to 4 weeks.
if your scalp has not cleared within 4 weeks, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
to keep your scalp clear and prevent dandruff returning, use avoral shampoo once every 1 to 2 weeks, if you stop using avoral shampoo altogether, your symptoms may become a problem again.
rare side effects can be anticipated where the treatment with ketoconazole is well tolerated.

إن تركيبة افورال شامبو تؤمن طريقة فعالة للتخلص من قشرة الشعر والحكة والتهاب الجلد الدهني لفروة الرأس والتينيا المبرقشة.
تعمل البتروسبورم اوفال على تسريع تجديد العملية الحيوية لخلايا فروة الرأس مما يؤدي الى قتل هذه الخلايا فتظهر القشره والاعراض والظواهر المصاحبة لها مثل التقشر والحكة.

كما هو الحال في باقي المستحضرات الطبية, لا يستخدم أفورال شامبو في حالة وجود تحسس لأحد مكوناته
- للاستعمال الخارجي فقط
- تجنب ملامسة المستحضر للعين واذا حصل تلامس مع العينين يجب غسلها بالماء فورا
- ليس هناك اي تحذيرات من استخدام افورال شامبو خلال فترة الحمل وبعد الولادة
للستعمال الموضعي
- رطب الشعر جيدا
- ضع كمية صغيره من أفورال شامبو على فروة رأسك ودلك للحصول على الرغوة
- اترك الرغوة على فروة رأسك لمدة 3-5 دقائق
- اشطف الشعر بالماء جيدا.
اغسل الشعر كل 3 او 4 ايام لمدة 2 الى 4 اسابيع اذا لم تتعفى فروة رأسك في غضون 4 اسابيع ينصح بمراجعة الطبيب او الصيدلي.
للحفاظ على فروة رأسك نظيفة ولمنع عودة قشرة الرأس يستخدم أفورال شامبو مره واحدة كل اسبوع الى اسبوعين. في حال ايقاف استعمال أفورال شامبو نهائيا قد تصبح الاعراض مشكلة مره اخرى
لا يستخدم أفورال شامبو اكثر مما قرره الطبيب المعالج.
نادرة هي الاثار الجانبية المتوقعة من استخدام أفورال شامبو حيث ان العلاج الموضعي باستخدام أفورال شامبو محتمل مثل جميع مستحضرات الشامبو, الاثار الجانبية التي تم تسجيلها نادرة الحدوث: حرقة موضعيه، حكة، حساسية تلامسية تساقط للشعر الملفوف والمتجعد بالاضافة الى تغيير لون الشعر في حالات الشعر المعالج كيميائيا.
الجرعة الزائدة:
لم يتم تسجيل حالات جرعة زائدة من استعال أفورال شامبو حيث انه معد للاستعمال الخارجي فقط
يجب ان يخزن أفورال شامبو في درجة حرارة اقل من 30 درجة مؤوية

Ketoconazole 2% w/w Shampoo is indicated for the treatment and prevention of seborrhoeic dermatitis, pityriasis capitis (dandruff) and pityriasis versicolor that may be associated with the fungus Pityrosporum. For topical administration.
Wet hair and scalp thoroughly with water. Apply sufficient shampoo to produce enough lather to wash the scalp and hair, gently massage it over the entire scalp and leave for 3-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff: Use Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo twice weekly for 2-4 weeks.
Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo may be irritating to mucous membranes of the eyes and contact with this area should be avoided. If Ketoconazole 2% w/w shampoo does get into the eyes, they should be bathed gently with cold water.

In the event of accidental ingestion, supportive and symptomatic measures should be carried out. To avoid aspiration, emesis or gastric lavage should not be performed.
Ketoconazole is a synthetic imidazole dioxolane antimycotic active against yeasts including Malassezia, and dermatophytes. Its broad spectrum of activity is already well known. Ketoconazole also has a direct anti-inflammatory action independent from its antifungal activity which may contribute to symptom relief in dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis
