Salbulase Syrup contains a medicine called salbutamol. This belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators.
Salbulase is a B2–adrenergic agonist with selective action on bronchial smooth muscles, indicated for the relief and management of reversible airway obstruction due to bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis & emphysema.
Do not take Salbulase Syrup if:
§ You are allergic (hypersensitive) to salbutamol sulphate or any of the other ingredients of Salbulase Syrup.
§ You have thyrotoxicosis.
§ You are under treatment with propranolol or any other non-selective beta-blockers preparations.
Take special care with Salbulase Syrup
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking your medicine if:
§ You have hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, glaucoma & diabetes mellitus.
§ You are lactating or pregnant women (especially in first trimester).
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes medicines you buy without a prescription and herbal medicines. Salbulase syrup can affect the way that some medicines work and some medicines can have an effect on Salbulase syrup.
§ Corticosteroids or diuretics during treatment with Salbutamol may increase the risk of hypokalaemia.
§ Inhaled ipratropium may increase duration of bronchodilation.
§ Cardiovascular side effects are potentiated in patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants and sympathomimetics such as amphetamine & dobutamine.
Taking Salbulase Syrup with food and drink
You can take Salbulase Syrup at any time of day, with or without food.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, might become pregnant or are breast-feeding.
Driving and using machines
Salbulase is not likely to affect you being able to drive or use any tools or machines.
Always take Salbulase Syrup exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Taking this medicine
§ Adults: two teaspoonful (10 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
§ Children above 12 years: 1 - 2 teaspoonful (5 - 10 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
§ Children 6 - 12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
§ Children 2 - 6 years: ½ - 1 teaspoonful (2.5 - 5 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
If you take more Salbulase Syrup than you should:
Talk to a doctor as soon as possible.
The following effects may happen:
Tachycardia, hypertension, tremor, angina, seizures and hypokalaemia.
Discontinuation of the treatment and supportive measures should be considered.
Also using of selective beta-blockers may be considered in severe cases but given cautiously if there is a history of bronchospasms.
If you forget to take Salbulase Syrup
Take it as soon as you remember. However; if it is almost time for the next dose, wait until then, and take the next dose as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Like all medicines, Salbulase Syrup can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects may happen with this medicine:
§ Salbutamol may cause a fine tremor of skeletal muscles; usually the hands are most obviously affected. This effect is dose related and is common to all beta-adrenergic stimulants.
§ Some patients might experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, irritability, tachycardia, palpitations, restlessness, skeletal muscle cramps, diarrhoea, dry mouth and allergic reactions.
If any of the side effects get serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
§ Keep in safe place, out of the reach and sight of children.
§ Store below 30° C, Protect from light.
§ Do not use Salbulase Syrup after the expiry date which is stated on the pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that are no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
What Salbulase Syrup contains:
The active substance is Salbutamol as sulphate.
Each 5 ml contains 2 mg Salbutamol as sulphate.
The excipients are:
Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose, Povidone k-30, Methyl paraben, propyl paraben, Propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, Cherry flavor, menthol, & distilled water.

يحتوي شراب سالبیولیز على دواء يسمى سالبیوتامول. و هو ينتمي إلى مجموعة من الأدوية تسمى موسعات الشعب الهوائية.
سالبیولیز عامل منشط لمستقبلات بيتا ۲ الأدرینالية ذو مفعول متخصص على العضلات الملساء للشعب الهوائية. يعمل على إرخاء التشنج القصبي في حالات الربو الشعبي، التهاب الشعب الهوائية المزمن و تمدد الشعب الهوائية (الأمفیزیما).
لا يسمح بتناول شراب سالبیولیز إذا:
§ كان لديك حساسية (تفاعل الحساسية) لكبريتات سالبوتامول أو أي من المكونات الأخرى لشراب سالبیولیز.
§ كان لديك حالة تسمم درقي.
§ كنت من المرضى الذي يخضعون للعلاج بمركبات البروبرانولول أو أي من مثبطات بيتا غير المتخصصة لعضلة القلب.
الاحتياطات عند الاستعمال
قبل تناول شراب سالبیولیز يجب عليك استشارة الطبيب أو الصيدلي في الحالات التالية:
§ إذا كنت تعاني من حالات فرط إفراز الغدة الدرقية، أمراض القلب و الضغط، الجلوكوما و مرض السكر.
§ إذا كنتِ خلال فترة الحمل خاصةً الأشهر الثلاثة الأولى أو أماً مرضعة.
تناول شراب سالبیولیز مع الأدوية الاخرى
عليك أن تعلم الطبيب أو الصيدلي إذا كنت تتناول أو تناولت مؤخراً أي أدوية أخرى بما فيها تلك التي حصلت عليها بدون وصفة طبية. قد تؤثر بعض الأدوية الأخرى على طريقة عمل شراب سالبیولیز أو قد يؤثر شراب سالبیولیز على طريقة عمل بعض الأدوية
§ استخدام الستیروئیدات القشرية أو مدرات البول أثناء فترة العلاج بالسالبیوتامول قد يزيد من احتمالية نقص بوتاسيوم الدم.
§ قد يزيد الإیبراتروبیوم المعطى استنشاقًا مدة التوسع القصبي المحدث بالسالبیوتامول.
§ تزيد تأثيراته القلبية الوعائية عند المرضى الذين يتناولون مثبطات أكسیداز أحادي الأمين أو مضادات الاكتئاب ثلاثية الحلقة أو الأدوية المقلدة للودي مثل الأمفیتامین و الدوبیوتامین.
تناول شراب سالبیولیز مع الطعام و الشراب
يمكنك أن تتناول شراب سالبیولیز في أي وقت من اليوم، مع أو بدون الطعام.
الحمل و الرضاعة
تحدثي إلى طبيبك قبل تناول هذا الدواء إذا كنتِ حاملاً أو ربما تصبحين حاملًا أو أمًا مرضعة.
تأثير شراب سالبیولیز على القيادة و استخدام الآلات
سالبیولیز ليس من المرجح أن يؤثر على قدرتك على القيادة أو استخدام أي أدوات أو آلات.
تناول شراب سالبیولیز دائمًا حسب وصفة طبيبك. يجب عليك التحقق مع طبيبك أو مع الصيدلي إذا لم تكن واثقًا.
ما لم يحدد الطبيب الجرعة ينصح بتناول سالبیولیز كالتالي:
§ للبالغين: ملعقتان صغيرتان (۱۰ مل)، ۳ – ٤ مرات يومياً.
§ الأطفال أكبر من ۱۲ عام: ۱ – ۲ ملعقة صغيرة (٥ – ۱۰ مل)، ۳ – ٤ مرات يومياً.
§ الأطفال من ٦ – ١۲ عام: ملعقة صغيرة (٥ مل)، ۳ – ٤ مرات يومياً.
§ الأطفال من ۲ – ٦ سنوات: ۲/١ – ١ ملعقة صغيرة (۲,٥ – ٥ مل)، ۳ – ٤ مرات يومياً.
إذا تناولت شراب سالبیولیز أكثر من الكمية الموصى بها:
يجب أن تبلغ الطبيب فوراً.
ربما يحدث لك الأثار التالية:
خفقان، ارتفاع في ضغط الدم، رعاش، خناق صدري، اختلاجات و نقص في بوتاسيوم الدم.
يجب قطع العلاج وبدء العلاج العرضي و المساعد فوراً، وفي حالات فرط الجرعة الحاد، قد يكون من المفيد استخدام مثبطات بيتا الأدرینالیة المتخصصة و لكن يجب توخي الحذر و الانتباه لاحتمال أن يحدث تشنج قصبي.
إذا نسيت تناول جرعة شراب سالبیولیز:
عند نسيان تناول جرعة من شراب سالبیولیز يجب تناولها حال تذكرك ما لم يقترب موعد الجرعة التالية. لا تأخذ جرعة مضاعفة لتعويض الجرعة التي نسيت تناولها.
كما في جميع الأدوية، قد يسبب شراب سالبیولیز تأثيرات جانبية و مع ذلك قد لا تحدث مع كل الأشخاص.
الأثار الجانبية التالية ربما تحدث مع هذا الدواء:
§ رعشة خفيفة في العضلات الإرادية، و تكون الأيدي عادة هي الأكثر تأثراً بذلك و هذا الأثر يزداد بزيادة الجرعة و هو شائع مع كل منشطات بيتا الأدرينالية.
§ و في بعض الحالات قد يحدث صداع، دوار، خفة في الرأس، هيجان، سرعة في ضربات القلب، خفقان، تشنجات عضلية، إسهال، جفاف في الفم و عسر تبول.
يرجى إخبار الطبيب أو الصيدلي إذا أصبحت إحدى تلك الآثار الجانبية خطير أو إذا لاحظت حدوث آثار جانبية غير مذكورة في هذه النشرة.
§ احفظ الدواء في مكان آمن، بعيدًا عن متناول و نظر الأطفال.
§ يحفظ في درجة حرارة أقل من ۳۰ درجة مئوية. بعيدًا عن الضوء.
§ لا تأخذ شراب سالبیولیز بعد تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية المطبوع على العبوة. تاريخ الانتهاء يشير إلى اليوم الأخير من الشهر.
يجب أن لا يتم التخلص من الأدوية عن طريق مياه الصرف الصحي أو النفايات المنزلية. اسأل الصيدلي عن كيفية التخلص من الأدوية التي لم تعد مطلوبة. و سوف تساعد هذه التدابير على حماية البيئة.
مما يتكون شراب سالبیولیز:
المادة النشطة سالبیوتامول على هيئة سلفات.
تحتوي كل ٥ مل من شراب سالبیولیز على ۲ ملجم سالبیوتامول على هيئة سلفات.

The usual dose is as follows, to be taken orally:
▪ Adults: two teaspoonfuls (10 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
▪ Children above 12 years: 1 - 2 teaspoonfuls (5 - 10 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
▪ Children 6 - 12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
▪ Children 2 - 6 years: ½ - 1 teaspoonful (2.5 - 5 ml), 3 - 4 times daily.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Salbulase tablets should be use with caution in the following cases:
• Patients with hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, glaucoma & diabetes mellitus.
• Care should be taken if given for lactating or pregnant women (especially in first trimester).

Administration of drugs during pregnancy should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother is greater than any possible risk to the foetus.
As salbutamol is probably secreted in breast milk its use in nursing mothers requires careful consideration. It is not known whether salbutamol has a harmful effect on the neonate, and so its use should be restricted to situations where it is felt that the expected benefit to the mother is likely to outweigh any potential risk to the neonate.

Mode of Action of ingredient:
Salbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenoceptor agonist.
At therapeutic doses it acts on the beta-2 adrenoceptors of bronchial muscle.
Salbutamol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, reaching its maximum effect after 2- 3 hours from taken and its action lasts for 4 - 6 hours.
It subjects to first-pass metabolism in the liver; the main metabolite is an inactive sulfate conjugate. About 30% of the oral dose is excreted unchanged in the urine.
There is insufficient information available to determine whether some of the active ingredients have mutagenic, carcinogenic, teratogenic potential, or the potential to impair fertility.
