Clobetasone -17- Butyrate is gluccworticoid is effective in the treatment of Corticosicroid - responsive dermatoses primarily because of their antiinflammatory,
antiprmitie and vasconstrictive action. Some systemic absorption of the drug may occur, but does not cause any probable side effect,
Clobetasone -17- Butyrate is absorbed through the skin. The proportion of the drug absorbed through the skin depends on the vehicle and the severity of
the damage to the stratum conicum barrier caused by the skin disease.

INDICATION AND USE:

I. Long terra control of eczema and dermatitis.

2. Facial and flexural psoriasis

PRECAUTION:
absorption of topical cortieosteroids has resulted in reversible 11PA axis suppression manifestation of Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia, and
g aria. Children may absorb larger amounts and be more susceptible to toxicity to the use of corticosteroid, and therefore its application in children
una„, 12 years is not advised.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
'the ointment should be applied with gentle rubbing to the affected skin areas twice daily. Ointment is suitable for scaly lesions. The treatment must be
limited to 2 consecutive weeks, only, not greater than 50g per week and without occlusive dressings.

The adverse reactions are rare. However, caution must be used if in excess of 200g Clobetasone Butyrate ointment is used per week or when it is used
under occlusion for not more than 30 days. The local adverse reactions are burning, stinging and itching sensation. The prolonged use may cause
Cushiqs syndrome
